This is the situation:

The 2011 OTY Awards process began on 1 January, 2011 and fully concludes this June, 2012 at the Convention when the winners are announced.

However, only chips, tokens, strikes and cards issued in calendar year 2011 are eligible for nomination and nominations are not open until midnight, 31 December, 2011. The nomination period runs from 00:01 am, 1 January 2012 until midnight, 3 February, 2012 (last Friday).

Now that nominations are closed, we entery the judging phase and over the next several weeks (or so) I will tally the submitted nominations and put together a Judges Ballot (which will be displayed on-line using the 2011 Unofficial OTY Viewing Site pages). However, no one can upload to the 2011 site, and it is read-only (in all 4 categories). But before I lock it down, I duplicate the layouts (without content) re-lable from 2011 to 2012 and create new pages that stand available all year long for collectors to upload scans of 2012 qualified items.

Now, after the 10 nominees in each category are set for the 2011 Awards, I will open up the voting process. For everyone on-line, we can visit the 2011 Viewing sites, make selections and email those selections to me. Additional details will be provided as we get closer to that voting period.
