The Chip Board Archive 22

The Club Royale went down afer 1-month of sailing.

In that one month time the ship left dock exactly 69-times for gambling trips 3-miles out. It's estimated that less than 300 total chips of all denominations are known to exist. With the exception of myself and a few other club members, hardly any collectors ever stepped foot on board... In sixteen years very few chips turned up... and we know from the company that the whole inventory was on board as there were no provisions on shore for storage.

I ran several newspaper ads asking for the chips, with very few responses.

I don't know the gambling jurisdiction regs (if there even are any) for that Costa operation; as to what type of desruction notice will be announced, but I'm willing to bet that those who are in the business of buying such inventories are quite busy right now.
