to find -- you may pay book value & then some. Newer chips that are easy to find -- face value or just a bit above. What I have found is that chips in the $100 to $500 book value range go for 40% to 50% below low book value. Remember...the price guides are just that -- GUIDES. The Chip Rack authors have a good handle on pricing & have adjusted their pricing over the past several issues and continue to do so. It's always good to ask questions & pay only what you think that it's worth as a collectible, not as an investment.
