I actually have the front page of the Press of Atlantic City from that day. I'd like to post it but I'm not sure if it is permissable to do so as I may violate The Press of Atlantic City's copyright.
The front page headline reads "COLLAPSE AT THE TROPICANA" with the main picture showing the collapsed garage and two inset pictures, the first of Atlantic City Police officers trying to restrain a construction worker from re-entering the collapsed garage and the second of another construction in tears and very distraught.
Remember that day very well. I was even contemplating hopping on a bus to Atlantic City.
Not sure if that was under the watch of CEO Dennis Gomes, Fred Burro or Mark Giannantonio but Adamar of New Jersey ended up settle with the workers, the union and the United States OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) for big $$$$.
