we were on a Baltic Sea cruise out of Copenhagen with stops in Northern Europe -- Norway, Finland, The Netherlands, Russia, Estonia, etc. While on a bus tour out of Rotterdam headed to Brussels, Belgium, we traveled through several small Dutch towns -- mostly inhabited by German-speaking residents. What I noticed was a Cherry Casino along that route. In that region of Holland, the primary language spoken is German first. In fact, all citizens speak German and a second language of Dutch. Also, when in Amsterdam, there was a small casino there just off the main town square, and not far from the famous "windows of women." that had the "Cherry Casino" sign, but it was closed since it was before lunch.
