Wonder if the "moneymaker" is a reference to the poker player who won the world series of poker? The one I have is purple and your chip looks black. As an ad chip, the color purple would not match Canadian Club's colors, but its competitor-- Crown Royal -- touts purple and gold. That's why I think the color matches the denomination. Is there a standard color for $500 chips like the black representing the $100 variety.
