Joe Paterno Is Gravely Ill, Family And Friends To Say Their Goodbyes:

Former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno is near death, CBS Sports is reporting.

Reports indicate that Paterno’s health has taken a turn for the worse, and his wife Susan has summoned family and friends to the hospital to say their goodbyes.

Paterno, 85 years old, was the Head Coach of the Penn State football program for 46 years until he was let ago in 2011 after the arrest of former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky for child sexual abuse charges.

Paterno was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly after his termination.
