Only the rightmost zero is exposed, other numbers are covered in the plastic. I guess it ain't too rare after all. I thought is was worth putting in my collection. Bob had his facts backwards (we forgive him). The older $2.50 is brass and is heavier. The newer "royce" version with the reeded edges, which yours is, is an alloy, and is definitely lighter.
