...I haven't stayed there (can't make the convention in school holidays ) but I have been there when I leave Vegas - check-in for international flights is usually 3 hours, so check-in, then drive to South Point for an hour (no traffic, and easy to park), play, and then take the car back and arrive at the airport and almost straight onto the plane

As others have said, it is more of a locals casino, but I found it bright and airy, clean and friendly. Lower limits too if you're not a big gambler (and you can always bet more if you are!!)

I'm sure its a great location if you are there for the convention - possibly the only negative is if you are with other, non-chip collecting family who may find the location a little bit away from the Strip.

Whereever you stay though, being in Vegas at convention time is great fun!!
