To address your question:
First you have different "type" rooms. You have the vintage and pavilion rooms which are the least in price, the tower rooms, and then the all new remodeled cabana rooms which are across the street in the back. Most people I know from the forums who stay there prefer either the Tower or the Cabana rooms with the Cabana rooms probably coming out on top. I doubt the $15/night is for the Cabana rooms and the Tower rooms are also an upgrade from the "vintage" rooms but I do know a person who prefers the "vintage" rooms. To each his own.
