Shirl was a great guy, always friendly and talking about chips - especially those from Wendover. He was forever trying to get some old chip out of the casino's vault or making contact with an executive who could get him chips. We used to compare collections. It was great fun. I'm going to miss seeing him at the conventions. I would refer to Shirl and his good friend Doug as "the Wendover guys" for their obsession over everything Wendover.
