But not everyone likes Pizza...!
I agree with all that The Strip and its environs have to offer and they'll continue to do well, but MIAMI has always been a 'different world' in a way of attracting its visitors due to its ambiance which has not changed since the first electric light helped light the city... Its visitors who come here on business from far-off lands (especially South America) are the above-average who when get the itch to gamble in their spare time need to go elseware such as The Bahamas and the Caribbean... and the last thing that Florida needs at this time is for those visitors to have a wider choice -- especially now, when Cuba is planning to set up oil rigs off our coast in what was once "International Waters" before we made the mistake of giving them those waters just 40-miles off our shore. With China (w/ Spain and Italy) building those rigs, it's not too hard to imagine what else they might have in the back of their mind for Cuba (and their plans to virtually 'take over' The Bahamas for their manufacturing needs).
We do have issues with local merchants who feel that visitors will not venture outside of these mega-properties for food and drink, but that "Make a good Pizza..." thing will always play well...
Genting knows exactly what they're doing and they can do it wherever they so please... and we (Florida) should welcome them with open arms...!
...and most importantly; we have a wide choice of 'snapper' down here.
