The 2nd Edition of The Official US Casino Chip Price Guide had a section in the back of the book showing mintage and value of Nevada limited editions. The section was compiled by Dave & Debbie Harber of Cheques in the Mail, www.lasvegas-chips.com. Published in 2000.

Also, the casinos may or may not issue a statement of the chips about to be destroyed. Some time ago I picked up a notice from the old Reno Hilton listing the limited editions about to be destroyed. For example, the 2nd edition indicates only 200 $25 1998 Air Races chips were issued, the notice I have indicated 41 were about to be destroyed. So only 159 remain in circulation, making them sort of rare.
