The piece measures 150 x 95 mm.
In the early 1990s, a small antique shop owner in Paris writes me a letter explaining that a wooden crate of casino items (jetons, plaques and paper) were found in a section of an adjoining cellar during some renovation.. and if I might be interested. She did explain that the paper was badly soiled and that some of the jetons and plaques looked to be water damaged. I bought just about everything, anyway, but in several intervals; with most of the damaged material being shipped off to me, first, while the rarer material followed in a few shipments several weeks later and weeks later, again -- and one day this gem being part of the shipment. Things were going quite well; as I would first send cash (French francs) and in turn she would send me a carton of plaques... (everything was from Nice, strangely; a long ways off from Paris)... though things moved along well, one day everything stopped; cash sent, nothing received... but it was good while it lasted...
