This is the way this issue with light brown inserts was originally made and is often confused with the error chip that is similar. The error occurs on the later subsequent issue with DARK BROWN inserts that has the crossed pistols on one side after the Wild Wild West opened. The error chip exists with the $1 side of this issue on both sides. There is also a companion crossed pistols error on both sides. The error is clearly identified in several past editions of "Black's Catalog of Atlantic City Casino Chips"
