I recently purchased a number of chips from a variety of sources (personal, ebay, dealers, etc). While I did get chips at lower prices from personal and ebay sources, the best quality chip purchases came from David Spragg and Ricky Puchkin. Conclusion, generally if you want better quality chips buy from a dealer. If price is the key factor buy from other sources. Another dealer advantage is you may find chips from them that you can't find elsewhere. Example, after months of trying to get the $1 Artichoke's Poker Palace from various sources I finally got it through David Spragg in near new condition and at a reasonable price.
