I'm sorry if this had been discussed before, yet I'm a bit fried... (Long week at work) yet I don't recall reading why they issued an $8 chip?!? It doesn't look like it is for Chinese New Year (even though the $8 looks a bit like it has a Chinese writing flavor to it...)
