Silver Legacy released their first LE in 1996, a 1st Anniversary chip featuring Kenny Rogers. It said "Collector series No. 1" on it.
They waited until 1999 to release #2, commemorating the Reno Rodeo. Actually two different chips, both labeled #2. #3 was 1999 Hot August Nights.
Late January 2000, they released their Year of the Dragon chip. You would have thought that was #4, but no! No collector Series number on the chip. I fully expected whatever the next chip to come out to be #5, or the series was done and no more numbers.
But come 2000 Reno Rodeo, and chip #4. Again they did two chips, but one chip had no date or nothing on it. At this point I thought Chinese new Years chips must be special and not part of the series. So why is the snake chip #8?
#5 is their Fifth Birthday 2000, #6 is Hot August Nights 2000, and #7 is Street Vibrations 2000. 11 chips total and we're up to #8 in the series. Go figure!
