Wow. I can't believe the price guide is 6 years old. Like most guides, the prices are out of date the moment it goes to print, but 6 years is just embarrassing. Also, the illegals took a tremendous crash after it came out, so I wouldn't put much faith in the prices. It should still hold up as a guide to the price of chips relative to each other, but I would venture to guess they are at least 2x-4x overstated compared to current markets (more for most).
I've thought about trying an update, but I don't think I have a grip on the market anymore. When new illegals are found, there is a market for a half dozen, then no more. How do you put a value on that? Is a chip known to have a box of 100 out there worthless? What about 20? A lot of questions, not many answers.
