I usually use the term generic to describe a chip issued by a casino that was used in more than one casino

under the same name eg. Great Canadian Casinos of British Columbia $1 chips that are not domiciled

with the town name on them.

I use them name stock for chips possibly issued by a supplier that any casino could order for it's use some 50c

chips and some older chips may fall into this category.

just my two cents worth :-)
