Someone just emailed pictures and description of this interesting bone poker chip set. I never saw one this large. Easy enough to put it all here.
He said, "The poker chips are bone, stained red, blue, green, and also white. There are 208 blue chips (with one broken), 172 green, 70 white, and 65 red. The box is solid mahogany with the initials RLS on the top in silver, which stands for my grandfather, Carl Lorenze Seitz. It dates at least to before the war, and has the plaque on the interior, Sims & Co., Tientsin (which is in China). His family lived in Shanghai for three generations, up until WWII."
