Do you have a plan for actually getting these chips. I have a rule that I must get my chips from the casino and not a trader or buying it. If you are planning on playing BJ or something then you will never succeed.
Are you planning on adding players cards to the collection as well? This could take some time but you will get some free stuff for doing it as well.
Most casino's will not sell you chips out of the cage but some will. Here are ways that I have gotten my chips depending on casino.

1) go to poker room cashier and get $50 worth of chips, take out the one I want and cash the rest in. This also gives you a good opportunity to get the one you want.
2) go to the craps table and ask someone to sell you a chip. Sometimes they look at you like you are a crazy person.
3) go to the big wheel and buy a chip and walk away when the dealer is not paying attention.
