I was actually surprised that google registered those links.
I know it indexes every post on the bb's (albeit most have insignificant content to be rated anywhere) and could always see that it picked up links within posts. Because my posts have my website address in the bottom, I see that generates about 7,000 backlinks a month for me. Google seems to like that as it is constant. Not sure whether it would like a huge spike in one day though. I don't fancy testing it out
