When we were on our Alaska cruise about 4 years ago and Cindy got sick she had to take Vancomycin. It is known as the antibiotic of last resort. When we got a prescription to fill it was $18........PER PILL. When she was given the same pills in the hospital they were $68 each, four times a day. My Advair inhaler that is made in Germany costs half what it costs here in the US. When we were in Egypt we were buying drugs that cost $15 here for $.70. Nice mark up.
