Geez, did I miss alot by not being home today..Caught up on my reading and I feel for you Rene.
Getting this show together in the Northwest has been fun and I'm meeting some nice people in the process.....But lighten up folks...Rene has had to go out in a limb to cover the cost of putting on a Show in the Big City of "Las Vegas". Square footage in that town doesn't come with promises of a few added gambler's coming into a Casino. Booths and drapping Rentals are not delivered on a promise that all the Tables will be rented out. Do they print flyers Free in Las Vegas? Maybe Rene know's and old out of work couterfitter with a dusty printing press. Flyer's could be cheap in that case<G>.
I had a hard time convincing my Casino to print up Chips for our show, thank god I didn't have to sweat the cost for them. Especially with no guarantee that anyone will show up,let alone rent Tables. I may have to buy all 500 just to keep my job< Gulp..I hope not>.
Rene is entitled to make a profit for his effort and risk in putting on this Show. I would hate to think any Collector would not attend because they had to pay at the door to get in. I've paid to go into a Antique and Collectors Show scrounging for Chips when I wasn't even sure anyone would be selling them. Would I spend $5.00 to go in were I knew 100 people would be selling Chips......Let me Think.....ummmmmmmmmmmmmm..Your darn right I would and so would the rest of you.....I rest my case....Enjoy the Show. Wish I could Go..even though I'm not going I"d like to Thank Rene for putting it on. HAPPY CHIPPING !!!!!!!
