If you really want to get Technical about Las Vegas Boundaries.
In the late 1940!s There were four Casinos built on what is now
known as the Strip. El Rancho, Last Frontier, Flamingo and
Thinderbird. These Casinos were built in their locations to avoid
paying Las Vegas City taxes. The Southern boarder being Sahara
Ave. The area is known as Paradise Township. (Clark County) The
only Strip Casino located in Las Vegas is the Stratosphere which
lies North of Sahara Ave. It is confusing to me as why the Strip
Casinos have Las Vegas addresses. but they do. Perhaps someone
with a little better knowledge can answer that question.
