A coat of clear nail polish can help keep dice from totally crumbling, if they are crystallizing like these are. (It won't help imploding/vinegary dice though...just makes them sticky)

I'm just taking the late Jeff Laudeman's word for it, that keeping infected dice separate from healthy ones is the thing to do...rather be safe than sorry, as some dice can be pretty pricey.
