I was in the San Francisco area this week and even went to a few flea markets including the big one in Fremont last weekend. Found all sorts of stuff at the flea markets and antique stores. The only chip I got at a casino is the Oaks Club. Paid way too much for some and got good deals on a few. I will post later the few that I have for duplicates of for sale or trade. If I went to this many places here in TN I would be very lucky to come away with one or two chips at most. If I lived in CA I would be hitting every antique store in the state.
First day we went on a walking tour of SF. We walked and took public transportation from 9:30 until 3:30. Cindy couldn't walk for two days after that. Second day we went on a wine tour in Sonoma valley. Was kind of disappointed in this one. Nice tour but after seven wines at the first stop we were tired of wine. And the ad said that they picked you up at your hotel. Well they do - if your hotel is in SF. We were satying across the swamp in Oakland. So it cost us an extra $25 to take the ferry across the bay. We went antiquing in Alameda on Saturday and the antique show in Fremont on Sunday. Monday we went to see the redwoods and San Jose. Had a great time and came soooooo close to getting bumped off several of the flights on the way home. Since we were using bump certificates for our trip anyway another bump would have basically made it a completely free trip. Maybe next time.
BTW - I have never seen that bright yellow poker chip before. It it scarce?
