or a nice example? (Unless a scan has both extremes side-by-side, it is difficult for others to see what you mean, and to me (on my monitor) your chip looks like a nice example.
In the scan here, I have included a nice linen finish example (top left), a nice satin finish example (top right) and a poorer example of a satin finish version (bottom). The poorer version example is often considered to be an example of fading, but if you look close, it seems more a function of bleeding blue ink that transfers from one chip to another when they are stacked together in racks (as opposed to the blue ink running across the surface of a single chip). This is much like the problem that Chipcos with red ink stain other chips.
Is the staining seen on the bottom chip what you are describing, or did I see a different problem?
