I stopped by the site again today and it is covered with tons more dirt and no sign of any other chips. I did talk with one of the people who I know had 1000's of the chips. He sold two bags of chips to a local pawn shop for $100. I'm just guessing here on total amounts, but I saw the bags yesterday and they probably had 2-3000 chips total. He kept a huge amount for himself. I would bet these pawn shop chips are the "rare" "hard to find" ones showing up on Ebay. Did my best to avoid fellow collectors getting ripped off . I was hoping one of you could find out how many were actually ordered by the Travelodge to see how accurate my estimate of the pile was. Anyway, have recieved plenty of emails about this. I will make them available on the chipboard for a more reasonable low price due to the large quantity when possible. The three in the scan, I just picked off the top and gave them a quick cleaning with soap and water. (yea, ruined the history) That gives you an idea of the condition of all the chips. Very hard to tell the slight warping in a scan. Looks like it never made the local news. Good or bad, I don't know. Sure would make a great story for the Casino chip magazine if I can get the Ormsby House owner to help with a little history. I have an extremely busy schedule the next couple of weeks, then on a three week vacation, so bear with me. Obviously there will be plenty of cheap chips to go around. Have a great night, Doug
