The whole Mac attraction seems to be some mythology about viruses and magic superiority. Yes, they are nice computers and they work well and hold their value better, but also cost much more and do have some limitations as far as software. Mac defenders are very vocal. Mac monitors are beautiful to look at.
Here's something to consider, which might prove nothing except there are a bunch of stupid people? (and I'm one of them) However it does mean easier access to parts, software and open support without going to a proprietary and expensive store.
World Numbers: Operating systems
Windows 87.60%
Mac 5.61%
Then the other question, what do you want to do? If it's surf the web, write email and play Freecell, why pay for the Mac? If its for art and graphics, photography, you will find the Mac is superior in many ways.
Last question, do you want to buy new MAC versions of every piece of software you use?
