I read that in a crime prevention article. That way noone knows what you have. Recommended for receiving items as well as hobby related subscriptions etc. Also safer to receive bank stuff as well. I've had 1 since 1992 (not same box though, moved 3 times since then). It also recommended making up a "Fake" collection in a strong box, in the event of a home invasion, so you have something to "give up" (a few silver certificates, large silver looking foreign, worn silver dollar or 2 etc.
