Re: monte carlo monaco
In Response To: monte carlo monaco ()

The first known manufacture of this type jeton/plaque was 1925 to 1931.

I'm not sure any collector/historian/author/ anywhere here in the USA, Europe and the Numismatic Society of Monaco; especially Thomas C. Day who has lectured and exhibited at the New York International Numiamatic Convention and penned "Casino Tokens of Monte-Carlo" which was reprinted in The Numistmatis magazine of the ANA has attributed these pieces to Monaco.

I've heard the pieces might be from VICHY, France, but there are VICHY historians who do not know where these were used in VICHY.

I think they might still be UFC (and the text CEP on each piece is unknown as well)... TCB Archived info on these pieces is abundant.
