I used to think that too! While at the post office one day I noticed they were hiring so I called the number, took the test, quit my job and became an RCA. I made lots of money but worked my balls off, and wore out two cars! The straw that broke the camel's sack for me was when "Carrier Pick Up" was implemented... as though I didn't have enough to do. Shortly thereafter one of my co-workers was promoted to postmaster at a small post office and I followed as her PMR. Yes, some postmasters do make $50K per year and more, but that's only the larger offices. She and I actually took a cut in pay.

The post office is always hiring! If you think postal workers are overpaid, and if you have a high school diploma, and if you can pass a drug screening test, and a criminal backgroud check, and a physical exam, then I challenge you to visit your local post office, check the bulletin board, Take the postal exam and try working there yourself.
