However, it is possible that some information (some records, like the "comments" fields) were lost when the original information (Greg's efforts) was moved into the newer format. If I am not mistaken, I have seen scans that I provided and my name has been been dropped as well.

Moreover, when doing updates, if an Admin has the actual chip (of a pre-existing entry) and wants to post a better (greater dpi or color representation) scan, then it is possible that the previous entry is just deleted, along with the past contributor acknowledgement.

But I have to lean toward the inadvertent glitch more than anything else.
