If I'm not mistaken, that and similar ones at other casinos, even a $5 version, were made by CHIPCO in an effort to compete in the slot machine token market. They did work in a slot machine, but the mylar inlays, which are sonically spot-welded to an aluminum, spoked disk, would get deformed and jam the machines. The weight does not have much bearing, after all many coin-op machines accept(ed) dimes!

That version is fairly common, I am just surprised you got it at the casino! It's been hanging around for 15 years! WOW!!
