To all,
WOW!!!!……talk about over reaction. The world has not come to an end because someone lifted a couple of NCV’s from the poker tournament.
First of all I know the poker room manager Joe DiGiacomo for many years. Our friendship goes back to the days when he was a dealer affectionately known to everyone as “Walrus Joe”. Who knows maybe I know him 17 years. When Joe and I meet it is always a BIG HUG “how are you Jimmy?” The people around us view our meeting as two old friends who genuinely like and respect each other.
I am sure Joe gave the whole theft thing a degree of serious thought for maybe two seconds. He has much more important things that happen requiring his attention. Like real theft, like drawer shortages, like players trying to rip off other players and the house.
I am sure Joe is not going to ban our poker tournament nor will he want to look at the tapes for such nonsense. I am also fairly sure he doesn't want the club to purchase new NCV’s for his room. The best thing that can happen is let’s drop it.
I’ll tell you where Joe would really be concerned is if those NCV’s show up in another one of his future tournaments that he organizes and runs. Now that would be an incident of serious importance. Barring that……….let us forget about this “crap” and move on to important issues involving our organization.
