it's more the fact that OUR group took them. The South Point doesn't need our money to replace their chips, but (in my opinion) they do deserve courtesy from those that they played host to -- the . Would I care if the South Point had ten or twenty of these chips taken by ANYONE at an event other than ours?? Not at all, as a matter of fact, I'd be a bit envious seeing as I collect Las Vegas NCV chips. But this is OUR event and I know how much effort -- VOLUNTEER effort -- is put forth by those great members that help to arrange this wonderful tournament every year. And when something like this happens, it just makes the conversations next year between our poker tournament coordinator & the South Point poker room manager just a little less friendly.
The people that don't understand what the big fuss is all about are those members that don't commit their own time & effort to enhance our convention experience. Those that do understand our concern...well, they're okay in my book.
Thanks for the good suggestion, Bob.
