Could it be possible that an onlooker, not knowing these were NCVs, thought they were live $5,000s and with everone milling around, took them, only to discover that they were worthless, and perhaps ended up in the trash and are now lying in the LV landfill? Just a theory. Not everyone knows what NCVs are.
