I was going to School in Ottumwa at the time. I was living in Ottumwa but returning to Burlington everyweekend to woork and see my daughter. I would ask where the boat was because it had such a crazy schedule. Even the people that worked on it had trouble keeping track of where they needed to report for work. the big thing I remember was it cost you to go on the boat even if you weren't going to gamble. You would get a sheet with tags on it so you could exchange money for chips. Once you were out of tags, you were done gambling. Although I did go on the boat more than once to sell my gambling tags. I would be approched by someone who had lost all their money and needed more chips. I seem to remember getting twice face value. I often had $150 left in tags and would get $300 to go get chips for them and give the chips to someone.
