Well for one, they expected what they were promised that we would not take any of their chips.

This is a Private Tournament that the asked them to host. They didnt ask us to, we asked them to.

We made a promise to them that we would not steal their chips and every member who plays is asked to abide by that rule.

Year after year an announcement is made about not harvesting any chips.

Do our club members take roulettes and NCV;s from tables? Sure they do.

Do we expect them to take them off the tables at a private tournament that we sponsor and specifically ask them not to take chips?

Obviously not.

Spin it anyway you want, but this is in no way the fault of the South Point of the club. It was done by one or more selfish members who care more about making a buck than supporting our convention.
