in the poker tournaments, up until we started playing our tournaments at the South Point. I would think that the issue is two-fold:
-- First, Nevada Gaming (and/or the South Point) may not allow "foreign" chips to be used for this tournament.
-- Second, I believe that the left-over chips were costly to manufacture (& probably not able to be produced by PaulSon / GPI for us) & represented a $$$ loss to the club.
Gene Trimble would probably be the best one, along with Robert Pardue, to respond to this question. Just giving my guesses.
