Does anyone know someone that might be able to repair a video poker game cheap? I was given one for christmas from my in-laws and it doesn't work. I have done some research and found that it was one of 40 delivered out of an order of 500 from a company called Grayhound Electronics (in april of 1996) to a distributer in Cedar Rapids Iowa. The spelling of Grayhound is important because there is a Greyhound Electronics (With an E not an A) still in operation. The President of Grayhound Electronics was arrested (and the company assets frozen) in October 1996 for all kinds of crimes including stealing money from parking meters.
Anyway, I have not had any luck repairing or finding anyone to repair it. The monitor, buttons, lights, coin hopper, ticket system (not TITO, but arcade tickets) all work. The game board works in test mode. The post test says all is fine. But when it leaves the post test, the screen turns red and does nothing else. Being a computer tech, I believe there is a memory chip that has gone bad, but I have no way to track it down to fix it.
So anyway, if you know of someone who could help me, please email me. Thanks
