Today there are a couple of chips that are quite similar in appearance, the Hacienda Las Vegas $5 and Gold Dust Reno $5:
While these are not explicitly identified as Bicentennial chips, I include them because they look nice and I want to . Like the Union Plaza yesterday, they also spent a number of years on the table as house chips, and so are not as easy to come by in SU or better condition. With my Landmark $2, they round out all of the metal-center chips in my collection.
So although I have had reservations and been planning on attending the convention for several months now (my first one! ), it has been a bit of back-and-forth the last few weeks as to whether or not I'd actually be able to make it this year. I'll only be there from Thursday through Saturday so will miss out on some of the ancillary activities, but as of last Friday I am officially going! I look forward to seeing many members and friends, quite a few whom I've known and dealt with for a number of years, but never actually met in person .
Happy Fathers Day!
