I was surprised to see how my scanner-printer-copier did so poorly color-wise on these two Marion Elephant & Crown mold chips. Any ideas?
¶ the scanner is Canon PIXMA MP480. It came with my Mac computer for just $99 extra.
¶ my computer is a Mac -- i Mac 24"
¶ left one -- real life: blue clay, plain red inlay center, 3 yellow edge spots (with three red dots inside).
¶ right one: everything came out fine except the three edge spots should be pink. Note that the yellow and red came out fine here, but not on the other chip? Haunted chip?
The instructions are complicated and on-line. Wonder if there could be instructions there to adjust it? Maybe just get a new scanner?
-------------------------------------
But I just scanned these, and they came out pretty good. The "Tropical Casino" Chipco came out very goor. The "Sands" one is pretty good, though the red is a lighter some. The other three came out better than the Marion ones, above, but the red is darker on the real-life chips. So the scanner isn't so bad. Why did the Marion ones come out so poorly (same settings)?
Thanks,
Robert
