The values that Charles and Dave quoted are "melt values" ... not necessarily what a precious metal dealer will offer for them. Also, some precious metal dealers will only offer to purchase the items that are marked .999 fine on the silver and not the ones that are marked .999 fine on the brass rims in spite of the latter weighing .1 ounce more.
