As great as the "Mick" was, in NO WAY was he as a complete a baseball player as Willie Mays.
Willie had it all ... offense, defense, throwing, fielding, base-running, base-stealing, you name it, he not only could do it all, he could do it better than just about anyone else. Hitting for power, hitting for average, played in Candlestick for most of his career, in THAT outfield, with the Candlestick winds, a hitter's nightmare and still hit over 600 homers! No ... sorry ... Mick was great but Willie was greater, maybe the greatest ever!
And just about every player who played during their era has pretty much agreed.
No offense, just my humble opinion
