I called the Sea Diamond day cruise office today in Pompano Beach, Florida & got a recorded message that said the casino was looking for a bigger & more sea worthy boat & that I need to check back with them every so often. According to informed sources, this boat, which first sailed as the Monte Carlo, began trips sometime in late November. I & my fellow Florida chipper were on board a week or so later & were supposed to meet up with CT Bob Ginsburg. That afternoon, Ginsburg was informed that his daughter was about ready to deliver a child so off he flew to New York. That left exactly 9 people on the ship. Had Bob not been in such a hurry to see his new grandchild, the boat would have sailed with 10. I know of 1 collector in Florida who was able to get the chips from this boat. There is no telling if they will return, but I'll keep you updated.
To CT Bob, next time tell your daughter to make plans so that they don't coincide with a gambling journey. She can have children anytime, but when plans are made to sail on a Florida boat you had better be on their first voyage!
