Frankfurt Airport is now open. This is the first casino at a German airport and is located
inside terminal one. There is 3,770 square feet of gaming space and features slot machines,
two blackjack tables and a roulette table.
Casino Frankfurt Airport will be more tolerant about their dress-code than traditional
European casinos. "Since we expect a lot of guests will be going on vacation, dress rules will
be less strict. We won't be asking people to change their shorts and Hawaiian shirts for a tie
and jacket."
Not all passengers will be able to gamble. Under casino law in the German state of
Hesse only people with tickets to overseas destinations or to European countries not included
in the Schengen Treaty will be allowed to gamble, which rules out people flying to such
countries as France, Italy and Spain.
