Every time I go through this, I swear I will never do it again. But, the hole that is left in a home without a dog is simply too much to bear and we bring in a new friend. The joy returns, but the memory of the ones we have lost never diminishes. I strongly believe that God's greatest gift to us is children and dogs. You have my sympathy my friend.
